Here's another real world review: this is crap! False advertising. It'll trickle charge an iPad, but only if the device is off. You can't use this to power an iPad. At any price, this is a rip off. These people are scamming you. DON'T BUY!

Disappointed - Esmerelda -
This item simply does not work as a charger. The iPad will operate when plugged into a DC outlet in the car but it DOES NOT CHARGE the iPad. In fact the screen displays the message "not charging". I'm keeping it to use in a pinch as a power cord but would not recommend it's purchase.

bad choice - Deb -
I should have read all the reviews before buying this product; I'm frankly afraid to use it with my iPad. I will keep it as an extra iPod charger or give it to a friend with an iPhone. At the low price, it's not worth the hassle of sending it back......which I'm sure the company is counting on!
